Medical Education and Electronic Training

Our medical education sector involves getting volunteer doctors, nurses and health care professionals from the United States, to come and spend one to two weeks delivering surgical and medical care free of charge to Haitian, Dominican Republic and local US citizens. This also involves sourcing medical supplies and equipment to donate to local facilities. This also extends to  cross-training of local health care workers, exchange of ideas, and updating/training in new technology.

Our focus in this sector is to establish training sessions of health care workers in specific areas including:

Breast Cancer awareness
Prostate Screening
Preventive Health
Hypertension screening
Diabetes detection and treatment

To augment our medical education within this sector, we are implementing a medical coding training program. The portion of this sector is design to support patient care related activities such as medication management, order communications, results reporting, care planning and clinical or health documentation.

The implementation of an internet based, with mobile capabilities electronic health information record is vital.
